Join SCAD as a career adviser and guide students and alumni toward accomplishing their career goals.
In this position, you will act as a liaison between your assigned school of study or student classification and a set of major fields of study. You will conduct one-on-one sessions with students, implement workshops, presentations and special events, and reach out to industry leaders, businesses and alumni to develop job and internship opportunities for SCAD students and graduates. You will also participate in departmental and institutional events and activities as needed.
The ideal candidate is experienced in career advising, recruiting or other related fields, and maintains a student-centered focus. A strong understanding of the career development process is essential, as is knowledge of the art and design job market and experience working with diverse populations. You should also possess excellent organization, communication and presentation skills and have a working understanding of information management systems and Web-based technology.
