SCAD seeks a cataloging librarian to ensure excellence and quality at the ACA Library of SCAD in Atlanta and to coordinate efforts with SCAD libraries in Savannah and Hong Kong.

In this role, you will be responsible for original and copy cataloging primarily for art-related publications, including books, serials, electronic materials, DVDs, artists’ books and book objects.

The ideal candidate has experience in cataloging and technical services operations, including a familiarity with automated cataloging systems (OCLC Connexion) and professional trends in cataloging. You should also have experience using RDA, AACR2r and LCSH/LC classification schedules.

A user-centered attitude and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment that serves a diverse population are essential to success in this role, along with the ability to work independently and balance day-to-day oversight with longer term planning of all aspects of cataloging operations.

Requirements:
ALA-accredited Master of Library Science
⎯ Familiarity with traditional and electronic information resources
⎯ Working knowledge of MARC formats
