SCAD seeks an assistant director of student life to ensure a life-changing experience for its students in Atlanta, Georgia.

In this role, you will serve as the primary housing officer for SCAD Atlanta residence halls and provide vision for the development and administration of the housing program. This includes, but is not limited to coordinating housing assignments and billing, facilitating room changes, inspections and occupancy reports, and managing residence hall openings, closings, check-ins and checkouts. You will also support budget preparation and management, and communicate with parents and students regarding residence hall policies, process and concerns.

Acting as the key programming organizer, you will ensure housing staff members develop the required number of programs per quarter, that programs align with the university’s mission and values, and that resources are used efficiently.

Additionally, you will hire work-study students, assist in planning annual university events such as Week of Welcome and SCAD Commencement, and act as the lead hearing officer for student conduct cases and train residence directors on the conduct system.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented with strong communication skills and possesses the abilities to multitask, organize and supervise others. Experience with budget management is essential to success in this role.

Requirements:
⎯ Master’s degree in related field
⎯ Two to five years of relevant experience in a higher education environment
