General education is an essential component of the SCAD undergraduate experience, developing students as critical thinkers by providing an intellectual foundation and breadth of knowledge for lifelong learning. To support this effort, SCAD Hong Kong seeks part-time professor of English candidates to join the university’s general education core curriculum faculty.

– Ph.D. in English, with a specialty in composition and rhetoric preferred
– Demonstrated teaching excellence and exemplary communication skills in area of specialization
– Three or more years of college-level teaching experience in English or its related subjects
– Experience engaging with a diverse student body

Academic administrative experience is also preferred, as the person in this position will supervise and manage SCAD Hong Kong liberal arts offerings.

Courses of study are registered with the Hong Kong Education Bureau, registration numbers: 261958-261971 and 262196-262202. It is a matter of discretion for individual employers to recognize any qualification to which these courses may lead.
