Join SCAD as an instructional designer/writer and create the educational unit content for SCAD eLearning courses that keeps SCAD on the cutting edge of online education.

In this role, you will write engaging content that instructs and inspires online students. Through collaboration with pedagogical experts, visual designers and course subject-matter experts from various academic departments, you will develop dynamic online courses that leverage the unique instructional capabilities of the online environment. You will use information from research and interviews with subject-matter experts to write unit content for eLearning courses, as well as review and copy edit assignments, assessments and interactions for courses. You will also serve as the final editor for all written projects within the eLearning department, including conference presentation materials and articles for publication.

This position requires exceptional customer service, problem-solving, writing and editing skills. Successful candidates must be able to interpret policy and communicate resolutions to appropriate parties. Experience researching, writing and editing web content is essential, as is familiarity with multimedia and web technologies and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Writer/Reader and Dreamweaver.

Requirements:
 -Master’s or bachelor’s degree in writing, journalism, communications or related field
 -Two to four years of professional experience
 -Experience working in higher education or on instructional design projects preferred
