SCAD seeks an enrollment events manager to give prospective students an unforgettable first impression of the university.

Reporting to the director of enrollment — events and programs, you will create and execute marketing and recruitment strategies as well as implement events for prospective and applied students, with an emphasis on quality enrollments. After performing research on event needs and activities, you’ll propose new strategies for program or project development on a rolling basis. In addition, you’ll manage and supervise the admission student leadership programs, promoting, interviewing, training, scheduling, assessing and conducting payroll. You’ll foster a positive working environment for SCAD student leaders and provide weekly training and professional development opportunities for student staff and volunteers. The enrollment events manager reviews program and departmental needs on a quarterly basis, ensures balance in student responsibilities, and monitors policies and procedures. Through yearly reviews, training retreats and orientations, you’ll remain aware of students’ needs and performance to ensure their success.

In tandem with Welcome Center staff and working closely with all SCAD locations to ensure consistency in all efforts, you’ll provide university tours, presentations and workshops to visitors; track attendance, type of student and yield; and report data on a monthly and annual basis. In addition, you’ll schedule staff appointments, including admission appointments, student interviews, tour training (including staff, student reps, work study and other SCAD departments) and tour reservations, and communicate the daily visitor report and daily tour email to admission staff in a timely and clear manner.

As needed, you’ll participate in special events as well as evening and weekend work and travel to assist with college fairs, trade shows, Atlanta SCAD Days and other admission activities. You’ll also assist with university tours, admission counseling, interviews, portfolio counseling and other duties as assigned to prepare talented students for professional careers.

This position serves as the SCAD representative for the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, facilitating the collection of student work from across the state of Georgia, judging of all work, notification of awards, as well as planning the exhibition and awards ceremony and reception. Working closely with the national organization, you’ll ensure all guidelines and regulations regarding ethical recruiting standards and practices are upheld throughout the process. Leveraging both print and online tools, you’ll plan, coordinate and execute submission strategies and assist with the development, editing, and formatting of marketing pieces and maps distribution via communication instruments.

You’ll also oversee the SCAD Scholastic Art and Writing Awards reception needs, to include event space procurement, security, staffing, catering, physical resources, transportation and purchasing of supplies. In addition, you’ll administer the SCAD Scholastic Art and Writing Awards budget. You’ll disseminate information on the awards, including policies, procedures and overall mission, to SCAD staff in a timely manner and ensure related information on the university website is current and accurate. You’ll also prepare report summaries on SCAD Scholastic Art and Writing Awards and all related activities, including enrollment, building utilization, student demographics, student and staff evaluations and more, and ensure participating students are appropriately inputted and tracked in Salesforce.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You should demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills. A background in an art or design field is preferred.
