SCAD seeks a part-time accessory design professor to join the university’s award-winning faculty in Savannah, Georgia.

In the SCAD accessory design program, students learn how to conceptualize, design and execute an eclectic range of high-quality fashion accessories. In this role, you will prime students for careers in the thriving accessory industry. At SCAD, students collaborate with peers and industry professionals to imagine, design and execute innovative and luxurious products for a competitive fashion market, and SCAD graduates consistently go on to secure employment in various disciplines including fashion, fibers, industrial design and graphic design.

The university’s international faculty members employ their expertise in accessory design, construction and bespoke shoemaking techniques to lead students through every step of the design process. From concept to completion, SCAD faculty provide unparalleled and individual attention to the refined details that ensure success for a professional accessory designer.

This is your chance to work with talented students within the historic district of Savannah, Georgia, a walkable, bikeable coastal city that provides a living laboratory for the study of art and design.

⎯ Terminal degree or its equivalent in accessory design or a related field
⎯ Expertise in patternmaking and construction for handbags and/or footwear
⎯ Technical experience in design theory preferred
⎯ College-level teaching experience preferred
