SCAD Savannah seeks candidates for a part-time professor position in the university’s highly innovative service design program.

SCAD is the first university in the U.S. to offer B.F.A. and M.F.A. degree programs in service design. With demand for highly strategic service designers on the rise, these programs have been developed to prepare talented students for professional, creative careers across many sectors of the economy.

The ideal candidate is a creative and highly motivated senior-level designer or design strategist with a solid track record of translating customer insights into innovative services, product-service systems, interactions and user experiences for well-known brands.

You should have a thorough understanding of service design methodologies, theories and business strategies in the context of the service-dominant logic principles. Strong project management and graphic and idea visualization skills are essential, as is a background in contextual research, co-creation, experience prototyping and interaction design.

⎯ Terminal degree in interaction design, industrial design, service design, design management or related discipline
⎯ Background in design and design thinking
⎯ Demonstrated passion for inspiring and teaching
