Consistently ranked among the nation’s best by DesignIntelligence, the SCAD interior design program offers unparalleled learning experiences led by highly credentialed faculty members who prepare students to excel in collaborative settings at top firms. The interior design B.F.A. program is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation and is housed within the School of Building Arts. The interior design B.F.A. and M.F.A. programs challenge creative students to become innovative designers capable of critical thinking and effective communication, while the M.A. focuses on design research and writing. Professional ethics and values are enhanced within the context of social, environmental and global design practice.

This position requires strong examples of professional work as well as teaching experience in conceptual design development, space planning, the selection and placement of fixtures, furniture and equipment, sustainable design, material selection, regulatory compliance and the preparation of construction documents.

The ideal candidate is innovative and energetic, with a high level of personal and professional integrity. You should possess at least three years of industry experience, as well as the ability to motivate students and collaborate with faculty from diverse backgrounds.

⎯ M.F.A. or its equivalent in interior design or related field
⎯ University-level teaching experience
⎯ National Council for Interior Design Qualification certification preferred
⎯ Working knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, Autodesk 3ds Max and other Adobe programs preferred
