SCAD seeks an assistant director of enrollment to ensure quality and excellence in the university’s prospective student recruitment and enrollment efforts.

In this position, you will increase positive awareness of SCAD in the China region and create networking opportunities with teachers, counselors, students and parents at targeted schools through extensive travel, presentations and individual attention. You will build relationships with applied students — via phone, email, text and in person — and assist them through the admission process. In addition, you will advise and counsel prospective students on program fit, the financial aid process, housing, meal plans, scholarship opportunities and other admission-related topics. At the acceptance stage, you will ensure international students submit appropriate documents and collaborate with the SCAD Language Studio to confirm their classes. The assistant director of enrollment also supports recruitment functions such as SCAD Days and performs other duties as needed to prepare talented students for professional careers.

The ideal candidate is a strong public speaker who demonstrates superior strategic and organizational skills. Attentiveness to detail, web knowledge, and the ability to multitask and reach goals are essential to success in this role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese are required, as well as knowledge of SCAD programs and offerings and experience recruiting international students. This role also requires the ability to travel an average of 35–40 weeks per year.
